Hey!
It’s time to talk about our next Game! As you might remember we entered the Stencyl Jam 2013 with our little prototype Tiny Tomb Robber. We had a lot of good responses from people who liked the idea and the Game itself and decided to make Tomb Robber (still a working title) into a full Game. To give you some insights we uploaded two other prototypes in addition to the Stencyl Jam version of Tomb Robber. The first prototype was the original idea created back in 2012, where the block sliding and gravity shifting mechanic was already there, in the second prototype, which is only a graphics demo, we tried some more sophisticated pixel graphics for a space theme. In Tiny Tomb Robber those ideas were the base and created the general puzzle mechanic.
Right now we are working on more puzzle mechanics, such as different block types with spikes, moving tiles, ghost tiles, ghost relics, portals and more. In the prototype we are using super Low-Fi Pixelart, which will be replaced by proper art from Wiebke. She already started with the character design for the main character named Zuki and her little side kick, a hummingbird called Pico. Additionally we developed a little story around the game, that we will reveal later. Here you can see an early lineup of the character, some island dwellers and a crazy shopkeeper.
As soon as we start do build more levels, we would like to invite you to our Test-Flight Beta, where you can play the new levels and help us test their difficulty, stay tuned!
